Bee Naturals was founded in 1992 when Barbara Chappuis, a Registered Nurse, wasn't getting the results she needed for her hands, which were cracked, bleeding, and raw from the constant hand washing and harsh chemicals at the hospital. This inspired her to formulate and produce skin and body care products that have a specific therapeutic purpose and are made with the highest quality ingredients that promote healthy skin and body for overall well-being.

While the term "all-natural" has become nearly meaningless, we formulate our products with ingredients that are the purest and safest we can source and that have a safe track record for topical (external skin) use. Our products do contain chemicals, but these can be purer than natural sources (like oxides) and avoid heavy metals. We also use synthesized hyaluronic acid for better purity and ethical sourcing, and we skip nasty chemicals and non-renewables like mineral oil.

Although our products are not USDA certified organic, we prioritize organic ingredients, especially for oils prone to harmful residue (like sunflower oil). We source carefully to keep our prices affordable, and we are committed to animal welfare and safety, never using ingredients from sources that don't demonstrate their commitment to animal welfare. We're Leaping Bunny certified.

Our products are gluten-free, but not certified as such, as this would be an additional expense that would drive up the cost of our products to a level we consider unacceptable.
